Date Weekend: Stay at the Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas

We recently stayed at the Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas for our annual date weekend. There are loads of things to love about Las Vegas including the swank hotels. We love sitting by the pool, going out for a great dinner and then catching a show or two. We also love The Bellagio, but here are five reasons you should stay at The Palazzo.

Fantastic Lush and Larger Rooms

The standard rooms are larger than all others on the strip. The bathroom boasts a sit-down vanity, large tub, stand-up glass-suround shower, double sinks and separate toilet room. For me it feels completely luxurious to sit down to do my hair and makeup. The bed is super comfortable and the giant living room area complete with L-shaped sofa sleeper could accomodate another two people if you’re room sharing or traveling as a group. Other things most Vegas rooms don’t include: an office desk complete with printer and free room WIFI.

Reduced Carbon Footprint

The Palazzo is the largest LEED  certified building in the world – meaning you help save energy and water when you stay here. (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System(tm) is the nationally accepted benchmark fo rthe design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.) The hotel also recycles all of the left-over toiletries in the rooms after you check-out by exporting them to families in need all over the world with Clean The World.

Great Poolside Service

One of the reasons we go to Las Vegas is for the warm temperatures and poolside relaxation. The drinks at the Palazzo were pricey but tasted great. I recommend bringing re-usable straw cups and mixing your own drink in the room before heading down to the pool.

Fabulous Restaurants

Las Vegas has so many amazing places to dine. The Palazzo and attached Venetian are no exception. TAO is Asian Cuisine with a beach and day club which also turns into a nightclub. We enjoyed the Italian LAVO dinner as well as breakfast at Morels. So decedant was breakfast that they brought me my coffee in a personal-size french press.

Amazing Shops

With everything from a flagship-sized Barneys New York to small gift shops like Pandora and Godiva, the shopping at Palazzo and Venetian are spectacular. I adored window shopping at Chanel, Diane von Furstenberg and Jimmy Choo.
