Earth Day is our annual reminder to stay aware of the issues affecting our natural world and to do our part to contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable planet. To help get your kids to appreciate the environment—and have some fun in the process—here are a few of the fun activities going on in Winnipeg.
Assiniboine Park Zoo – April 21st-23rd
Assiniboine Park Zoo is hosting a Party for the Planet all weekend long including Nature Walk Bingo, face-painting, colouring, and crafts. From 10am to 3pm enjoy Zookeeper Talks on conservation efforts or share your action steps to help protect the environment on their Giant Chalk Wall.

Children’s Museum – April 22nd
The Children’s Museum is always a good time but on Earth Day your kids can plant their own seedling and learn about Manitoba’s trees with the Manitoba Forestry Association. The Museum is also offering recycling of craft supplies for use in their Art Gallery.
