The weekend is here again and for many of us, this past week has included some first days of school and some new routines. The weekend is a great time to kick back and enjoy the fall family fun; here is a list of whats happening this weekend in Edmonton:

Fort Edmonton Park

Callingwood Corn Fest

The Marketplace at Callingwood is hosting the 19th Annual Cornfest presented by Servus Credit Union. Cornfest is a family event in Edmonton that raises funds for the Edmonton Firefighter’s Burn Treatment Society.

Colchester Show and Shine

This Show and Shine welcomes old and new cars, truck and tractors! There will also be activities and prizes; and a Fall Fair happening at the Hall too – something for everyone!!

Fall Family Fun Day

Clay Pot Critters

For the month of September, your children can attend a craft making workshop at Micheals Canada – each week features a different craft and this weekend it will be Clay Pot Critters. Find the details here.

Oh Canada Carnival

Celebrate Canada 150 with free food, children’s play, carnival games, face painters, balloon artists, outdoor movie UP!, fireworks.

Harvest of the Past

Celebrate Alberta’s agricultural roots with a traditional harvest at the Ukrainian Village. See the Village one last time and witness an old-fashioned threshing bee complete with vintage farm equipment and grain deliveries to the historic elevator. Other historical activities include flower and herb drying, feather stripping, making kapusta (sour cabbage), grinding wheat, quilting, and canning of produce from the museum’s gardens.
