Attending events with your child
Events are generally geared to the pre-walking aged baby. Selected events and classes do include childcare or activities for children up to 6 years of age. Each event will have an age recommendation listed as follows:
0-13 months (please have your baby in a carseat-carrier or stroller as many venues don’t have a soft-floor play/seating area)
14 months – 3 years
3-6 years

Many events are unable to accomodate older than Infant aged children due to logistics. Nannies are on hand to help calm babies, change diapers, provide a bottle, or just help with a bag, bathroom break or stroller. At the majority of events, they are on-site in the same area as you. Generally there will be one nanny for every two to three babies. It is imperative to have your infant carseat or stroller along for baby to have a safe place to be.
If you have older children you would like to bring, but nanny service is not included for their age group, we can arrange to have an exclusive nanny for you. Cost for this service is $35 for two hours.
General
Events are private and will be kept small. Classes/topics are led by experts. ALL events can be attended without your child or as a (expecting mama) modern-mama-to-be! We are not membership based (although you can buy a membership and get perks and discounts!), and you may attend any event pay-as-you-go!
Registration & Payment
Paypal is the only method of payment accepted. You do not need a paypal account to pay via paypal with a credit card. Your spot in the event or class is not secured until paypal has been completed. You will receive only one confirmation email from Paypal once payment is complete. You do not need to bring a receipt or print-out to the event.
Cancellations, Refunds & Make-up Policy
If you are unable to attend an event you have registered for, your registration cost can be applied to another Modern Mama event. The event make-up must be scheduled in advance and depends on availability in the desired event. Any cost difference will be your responsibility. Please notify us at least 48 hours in advance that you will not be attending the event registered for, otherwise a make-up event will not be offered.
There are no credits given after an event or after the first day of a series/class.
Liability
Modern Mama nor its nannies or any venue hosting an event will be held liable for any loss, damage or injuries. You may be asked to sign a liability waiver when using Modern Mama Nannies.
