Playschool Spotlight: Treehouse in St. Albert!

Believe it or not, if you have a child who will be starting playschool in September now is the time to start thinking about it! Did you know that Treehouse Playschool in St. Albert has been around for over 35 years and has 3 locations? Read on to learn more about this awesome program!

Programming

The 3 year old class focuses on introducing children to a classroom setting in a semi-structured social program all about growing and learning! There is a strong focus on Learning Through Play which includes lots of circle time, imaginative play, songs, stories, sharing as well as pre-literacy and counting.

Treehouse’s 4 year old classes are for new or returning students and the focus is still Learning Through Play, but with going deeper into skill based learning with early literacy and numeracy and discovering the world around us. Kindergarten readiness is a big part of the 4 year old class.

There are also 3 & 4 year old combined classes and a pre-immersion French program, Les Petites Pommes! For all of the class details and times please click here.

Locations

One of the best things about Treehouse, in my opinion, is that the program is offered in various locations around St. Albert and is in an elementary school setting. This means your child has the opportunity to become familiar with the school setting and access all the amenities such as a large gymnasium, kitchen and playground! Please note that Treehouse Playschool accepts students from St. Albert and surrounding communities.

  • Ecole Marie Poburan Elementary School, 100 Sir Winston Churchill Avenue
  • Neil M. Ross Elementary School, 60 Woodlands Road
  • Vital Grandin Elementary School, 39 Sunset Boulevard
