Started in 2011, Meet-Up Mamas was about connecting moms with each other and our community! A lot of moms in Spruce Grove are not necessarily “new” moms, but new to Spruce Grove, so I wanted to create programs and events that would showcase everything local. With our programs, the idea is for moms to meet moms, but in the end… they have places to go and things to do together, locally! Meet-Up Mamas became more than I had ever imagined; moms were meeting moms, local businesses were excited, and moms were staying and playing local! I felt a lot of responsibility and that was overwhelming. So when the idea of Modern Mama Spruce Grove came about, I was excited to work with a “team”, to work along side other moms doing just what I was!
