BigHorn Meadows Resort Radium

.Disclosure: We received a complimentary stay in exchange for this blog post. As always all my opinions are my own

This August my family and I ventured out to Radium, British Columbia to spend some time exploring the outdoors. I had never actually been to Radium, and I couldn’t wait to visit the beautiful mountain town and find a new place for our family to visit every year!

About

In the past when we had traveled I had loved staying in vacation rentals as it allowed our family more space to spread out. When searching online for the perfect place I came across Bighorn Meadows and fell in love with their resort. Bighorn Meadows is a high-end resort on an expansive 9-acre site surrounded by the gorgeous Springs Golf Course. Bighorn not only offers accommodations for short stays but also gives visitors the opportunity to be full or part owners of their own vacation home! They offer some great amenities as well including a pool, two hot tubs, a gym, and much more. They are the perfect middle ground between staying in a hotel and privately owned vacation home.

Our Experience

Arriving at our condo I was completely blown away by how large and spacious it was. Every condo comes equipped with a full kitchen including everything you would need to cook a meal for yourself. We made breakfast in our condo every morning and loved not having to get everyone ready and rush out. They were also so amazing in giving us a breakfast basket full of all the food we needed to make our meals. Plus some wine and cheese for after the kids were off to bed! I also loved the layout in that the main floor bathroom had a shower. This was great as I usually like to shower before bed so I didn’t need to worry about waking the kids.

Upstairs we found two very large bedrooms, my daughter was thrilled to have a room to herself. The bathroom upstairs is shared so there were doors connected to both of the bedrooms and a washer and dryer. Our beds were extremely comfortable and I was grateful to have a king bed in our room as we were sharing it with our 2-year-old son. On the main floor, there was also a patio outfitted with some patio furniture and a BBQ. I had hoped to spend our evenings out there with our wine and cheese but it was quite chilly outside –  next time for sure!

So often I find when staying in hotels that everyone is on top of each other but not at this resort!

Being An Owner At Bighorn Meadows

Some people may think that a vacation home is financially out of their reach. But, at Bighorn Meadows, there are many options to help you figure out how to make it happen for your family. Whether you decide to purchase a timeshare, quarter share, or a whole residence there is something that can fit into everyone’s budget! The average size of a condo at Bighorn is 1100 sq ft! Which gives you ample room for all of your belongings. While we were there we noticed some construction going on and we just got news that it is almost complete! This would be their 12th phase of buildings at Bighorn and I’m not surprised! You would be hard pressed to find anything that matches what they are offering at Bighorn. Plus, all of their properties are in an area of BC that is speculation tax-exempt which saves you some money!
