How to Have an Epic Summer on a Budget

Last summer my husband and I decided that traveling a long distance with our three children just isn’t for us, so our family vacations consisted of camping, visiting the mountains and exploring in Canmore, Banff, and Lake Louise and spending some time in Calgary (my kids love staying in Hotels). Not surprisingly our plans for this summer are pretty similar and since we’ve had {mostly} great weather so far my kids have been asking to go camping and visit the mountains on a weekly basis. As a family that loves spending time outdoors I am especially excited for the Epic Made Easy Passes because they will not only provide my children with new experiences and memories, they will also save us some money in the process. Win Win!

Brewster Travel Canada released this statement and I think it’s pretty well said:

The Epic Summer Pass is cost-effective and high value, offering pass-holders the unique opportunity to reconnect with our province, our mountains and each other.”

We love the Rockies and everything about them, one of the many reasons we moved to alberta. The ice fields and gondola are amongst the favorites in our family, the more snow the better 🙂

It’s hard to choose between Banff and Jasper… both are amazing and I would love to introduce my kids to the beauty of the mountains this year!

We love camping and head to Clearwater as our new favorite summer place to explore. Have always wanted to see the ice fields though!

I travel between Edmonton and Prince George roughly once a year, and have recently been dumbstruck how fortunate I am to do that trip so frequently. I’m sure there are folks from around the world who save up and scrimp for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Canada’s Rockies. We are indeed spoiled by the beauty and proximity.

Canmore is always are special spot to visit. As a child I spent every weekend with the family skiing and hiking. Now I can give my own child great memories just like my own

We love taking our boys to Banff. We are a ski family and normally go in the winter, but it would be fantastic to share a summer exploration in the Rockies!
