We are inching closer and closer you Halloween which is why we are seeing a bunch of new things to do to start getting you into the spirit! There are so many family and parent events Vancouver this week that you need to get out there and enjoy it with your family.

October 12th

Vancouver Halloween Parade & Expo 2017
Downtown Vancouver
Do you have a house of little Halloween fans this is something that the whole family will love! This 4 day Halloween event is a must see and on the 15th they will be holding a parade, rain or shine. It will be a great way to spend time with your family during your favorite time of year. Celebrate all hallows eve with cosplay, films, games and makeup all while enjoying our amazing city!

FlyOver Canada – Halloween Theme

The 12th marks the first day of the FlyOver Canada Halloween adventure! If you haven’t tried FlyOver Canada and you have some little wannabe broom flyers over 40” this is the perfect family night out. Going all the way until the 31st you will have plenty of time to check it out with your whole family.

October 13th

Ghost Train at Stanley Park

Every year the Stanley park miniature train goes all out when it comes to the holidays and Halloween is no exception. With a new theme each time they do their best to impress with the best family friendly Halloween train out there. You can easily get tickets in advance online and I highly suggest doing so to ensure you get a spot! This is a big event so dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared for the possibility of a line up.

Ghostly Downtown Tours

This 90 minute walking tour is great for the whole family, granted you have older children. This is a great way to ring in the Halloween season and learn a little something about the history of some of the most haunted locations in downtown Vancouver. You will love this look into the seedy history of our own city! You can catch these tours every tuesday until October 27th, 2017.

A Wok Around Chinatown

If you have ever been curious about the history and amazing things that you can find in Chinatown this is the perfect tour for you. Happening daily with charismatic chef Robert Sung. He will take you around Chinatown to show you the amazing produce, teas, snacks and of course historic landmarks starting from Dr. Sun-Yat Sen Classical Gardens.

A Wok Around Granville Island

Another great food focused walking tour taking you around iconic Granville Island. Try sweet treats, fancy lattes and delectable cheeses. This is a great way to spend a couple hours getting to know Granville Island and all that it has to offer. If you have never been to Granville Island with your family this is a great way to get a little taste of everything.

Life in Color by Angela Gooliaf with Beaty Biodiversity Museum

If you have little ones that love to color this event is going to be an incredible experience. You can Colour your way through nature on a giant mural that showcases ecosystems from BC and around the world. This interactive colouring wall will be a sight to see and you need to get involved before it’s complete and bring the whole family. A great way to explore art and learn about our local ecosystem!

Heroes & Villians Family Version with Vancouver Mysteries

Become a team of superheroes with your own family, your goal? To find the much monster and save the planet. Guided by fun clues you will be able to explore the downtown Vancouver area while working as a team to fight villains. If you have some superheroes in your house then this is the perfect family day of fun!

Fright Nights

Halloween is here and for those of you who love a good scare Fright Nights is the perfect way to accomplish this. Only recommended for kids 13 and older it can be the perfect way for you get a free night from your teenagers while enjoy some rides and spooky good fun! With a more controlled admittance max you will need to get your tickets in advance to enjoy less lines and a more intimate Fright Nights experience for everyone until Oct. 31st!
